ENROLLMENT, MEMBERSHIP, AND FAMILY INFORMATION

Cobra Performing Arts welcomes young people who are excited to learn, perform, build friendships, and grow as leaders.


Many introductory programs are open to students without previous performance experience.


Enrollment opportunities, schedules, and age requirements may vary by location and program.

How to enroll:

  1. Complete the online registration or interest form.
  2. Select your preferred program and location.
  3. Attend an orientation, assessment, or audition when required.
  4. Review program expectations and family policies.
  5. Complete registration requirements.
  6. Begin your Cobra experience.

Program locations:

  • Yonkers, New York.
  • Mount Vernon, New York.
  • Harlem, New York.
  • Bronx, New York.

Weekly tuition:

The standard youth program tuition is currently $45 per week for participating students in grades 4–11.


Participation requirements and tuition expectations for other grade levels, specialized programs, advanced ensembles, and school-based partnerships may differ.



Grade 12 participation and GLOBASONIC opportunities may have separate eligibility and program arrangements.



Payment expectations:

  • Weekly tuition is due every Friday.
  • A $20 late fee may apply to overdue weekly payments.
  • Uniforms and certain program-related expenses are not included in the standard weekly tuition.
  • Payment arrangements may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
  • Scholarships are not currently being offered.



Please present tuition clearly as the current standard youth-program rate and avoid publishing older proposed membership rates or alternative tier amounts unless I provide updated approval.

What participation may include:

Depending on the program and location:

  • Instruction and rehearsals.
  • Mentorship.
  • Leadership development.
  • Performance opportunities.
  • Team-building activities.
  • HBCU-inspired educational experiences.
  • Academic encouragement.
  • Family engagement opportunities.



Additional costs may apply for uniforms, travel, special events, equipment, or other optional activities.

Attendance expectations:

Students are expected to attend scheduled rehearsals consistently and communicate in advance when an absence is necessary.


Repeated absences may affect participation, performance eligibility, and advancement.


Students should generally avoid missing more than two to three practices per month, and performances should not be missed without approval.

Academic expectations:

Students are expected to maintain appropriate academic effort and demonstrate responsible school behavior.


Cobra may communicate with families and school personnel, where appropriate and authorized, to support student progress.



Eligibility for selected performances or travel opportunities may depend on academic standing and overall participation.


Family involvement:

Parents and caregivers are encouraged to attend meetings, support student attendance, participate in fundraising activities, communicate with staff, and remain engaged in their child’s development.
